Step into the realm of artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, where grace meets precision and dreams take flight. For over six decades, Sasaki Sports has been at the forefront of this captivating world, crafting exquisite equipment that embodies the spirit of the sport. As the largest manufacturer of gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics products in Japan, Sasaki Sports has an illustrious history marked by unrivaled achievements and a commitment to Olympic-quality excellence.

The remarkable journey of Sasaki Sports began in 1957 under the visionary leadership of Ms. Futaba Hirose. Initially a small shop selling sports equipment, stationery, and graduation thesis documents, the company soon found its calling in the world of gymnastics. In response to a request from the staff at NSSU (Nippon Sports Science University), Sasaki Sports ventured into the creation of leotards. In 1960, they proudly hand-sewed the first leotards for the Japanese national team, a momentous occasion during the Rome Olympics. The dedication and craftsmanship exhibited in those early years set the stage for the exceptional quality that defines Sasaki Sports today.

In 1969, Sasaki Sports expanded its horizons by delving into the manufacturing of equipment specifically tailored for rhythmic gymnastics. This marked a turning point for the company, as they harnessed their expertise and passion to create apparatuses that would shape the future of the sport. What started as a small venture at the Tokyo campus of NSSU soon blossomed into a dynamic force within the gymnastics community.

Sasaki Sports' journey is interwoven with unparalleled achievements that have left an indelible mark on the gymnastics landscape. They hold the distinction of being the sole Japanese company to produce leotards and had the honor of designing and hand-stitching leotards for the Japanese national team during the 1960 Roman Olympics. Their craftsmanship extended beyond borders as they dressed Team Japan for World Championships, solidifying their reputation as a trusted provider of elite gymnastics apparel.

By the early 1980s, Sasaki Sports had earned the coveted certifications from the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) and the Japan Gymnastics Association (JGA). Their commitment to excellence was recognized, and they emerged as a leading supplier of equipment for professional gymnasts worldwide. Sasaki Sports' unwavering dedication to quality, combined with their innovative designs, captured the attention of renowned athletes and national teams, catapulting the brand to new heights.

Notably, Sasaki Sports became the official supplier for the Japanese national gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics teams, solidifying their presence in the Olympic arena. Their collaboration with the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation, which achieved the Bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and secured the Gold medal for group competition at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, further attests to their status as a trusted partner in the pursuit of excellence.

With over 50 passionate employees and their headquarters still situated in Japan, Sasaki Sports remains committed to manufacturing Olympic-quality equipment. A majority of their products are proudly made in Japan, reflecting their unwavering dedication to craftsmanship and precision.
